Rosalie Sidoti — Contemporary Impressionist Paintings

Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” ― Leonardo da Vinci

Rosalie Sidoti

About the Artist

“As a contemporary Impressionist painter, my goal is to lure viewers into my vision of the world, which embraces a personal perception of beauty from my subjects and inspires introspection. I enjoy communicating some of the story behind a painting, but not all of it. Instead, I like to give spectators just enough information to prompt them to search into their own emotional memories. I work from life and/or from my own photographs.”

Rosalie Sidoti earned her MA and BFA degrees and continued her graduate education for many years though a series of exchange programs with the Ruskin School of Fine Arts, Oxford University, England. She believes in the importance of teaching and mentoring and is a Supervisor for Tufts University and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.

The artist is a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, NY, MA; Oil Painters of America; Rockport Art Association and Museum and North Shore Art Association, where she served as a Trustee and Officer. Rosalie works from her home/ studio in the Cape Ann area, Ipswich, MA. Rosalie is a National award-winning artist and her work is part of private corporations and collectors.
